EquityTrader evaluates stocks in two dimensions: how they have done in the past (performance) and how they are expected to perform now (potential).

For the most part, EquityTrader is provided as a FREE service to all users. FREE REGISTRATION is required to access Level II premium sections and a a MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION is required for LEVEL III.

EquityTrader is designed to provide investors with a quick and easy method of evaluating the past performance and potential appreciation of equities.
The indicator %b tells us where we are within the bands. Unlike stochastics, which are bounded by 0 and 100, %b can assume negative values and values above 100 when prices are outside of the bands. At 100 we are at the upper band, at 0 we are at the lower band.
Historically Normalized P/E Ratio: Where we are in relation to P/Es that have prevailed over the prior two years. 100: highest in 2 years, 0 lowest.
Risk Adjusted Historical Return: Annualized historical return divided by negative beta. This is the number the Performance rating is based on.
Walkers: Walkers are stocks that have remained in contact with either the upper or lower Bollinger Bands for more than a day.
Point and Figure Swing: + or - whether price is rising or falling using classic point & figure technique (using our own box-size algorithm).
Bollinger Bands: Trading Bands spread above and below a moving average by a measure of volatility--standard deviation. The default parameters are 20 days and +/- two standard deviations.
BandWidth, another indicator derived from Bollinger Bands, may also interest traders. It is the width of the bands expressed as a percent of the moving average. When the bands narrow drastically, a sharp expansion in volatility usually occurs in the very near future.
Recent Quotes Widget: displays the latest requested quotes and will be remembered from page to page. Any new symbol request will be added to the top of the quote list.
EquityTrader offers BBScript, a web based programming language that is integrated with the advanced chart and offers the ability to program highly customizable indicators and trading ideas.
Lists Section Top/Bottom Twenty Potential: Lists the securities with the best and worst potential rating.
Momentum indicator is best used for classic divergence analysis.
A positive PowerShift signal occurs when a security has become severely oversold and strengthens enough to potentially break the decline.
The strongest rating is two green lights; the weakest rating is two red lights.
Money Flow Index is a volume weighted version of RSI. It's a superior tool for identifying confirmations and nonconfirmations Bollinger Bands tags.
The Intraday Intensity is useful for diagnosing tags of the bands and divergence identification.
Lists Section Top/Bottom Twenty Change (%): Lists the securities with the best and worst one day percentage change.
A negative PowerShift signal occurs when a security has become severely overbought and weakens enough to potentially break the advance.
Persistency of Money Flow: The percent of days in the prior six months on which money flow was positive.
A negative Pivot occurs when a severely oversold security strengthens and then fails.
EquityTrader employs a fuzzy logic engine to evaluate 54 rules to determine a stock's Potential Rating.
Monitor the daily percentage change of the overall market and underlying market sectors.
Stocks with 52 week new highs and new lows are displayed in the New High/Low table
A positive Pivot occurs when a severely overbought security weakens and then advances.
Relative-strength line compares stock price action to that of the market. Rising line, stock is outperforming the market. Falling, stock is lagging.

Professional ET Ratings Section: Potential, Potential Change and Performance lists for today and the past six months.
Squeeze: The Squeeze is triggered when the Bollinger Bands fall to their narrowest value in six months. Squeezes often presage large moves. The Squeeze is quantified via BandWidth.
Potential Rating is the heart of the system. It is our assessment of the current potential for selected symbol. We employ a fuzzy-logic engine to evaluate 54 rules to determine the potential. Both fundamental & technical factors are considered in arriving at our Potential Rating.

Positive Alpha: The unique return of a stock in a positive environment.

Volume is the most important of all the indicators. In conjunction with price, volume depicts the ebb and flow of money in a security.
Negative Beta: The sensitivity of a stock to the market in a negative environment.
P/E Ratio: Price divided by the past year's earnings.
