important to us. When you choose to provide us with information

- Registration:
Some basic personal information is required in order to register
with EquityTrader:
Name - Your first and last name help us to
personalize your online experience. For example, the
PORTFOLIO section may feature your first and/or last name. This information is
only visible to you - EquityTrader will not disclose your
first or last name to any person, or to any third party
without your permission.
Email Address - By providing your email address,
you can receive important messages via your existing email
account. EquityTrader will not disclose your email
address to any person, or to any third party without your
permission.
- Demographics:
When you register, you are asked to give
demographic information (like ZIP code, age, and gender). You
are not required to provide this information. We ask you to tell
us a little about yourself so we can better understand the types
of people who register. That information can also be used to
provide you with content that may be of interest to you, and to
show you advertisements that are relevant to your demographic
information. Similar to television, radio, and magazines,
EquityTrader relies primarily on revenue from advertising to
subsidize the cost of providing you with free services. To help
enhance the relevance and effectiveness of ads, EquityTrader
provides advertisers demographic information on an aggregate
basis (not linked to your personal name or email address). For
example, EquityTrader may report to advertisers that "45%
of users are female and the average age is 28."
- Ordering forms:
Our sites use order forms for customers to request information,
products, and services. We collect your contact information
(such as your e-mail address) and financial information (such as
account or credit card numbers). Contact information from the
order form is used to send orders and information about our
company to our customers. Your contact information also lets us
get in touch with you when necessary. We use financial
information to bill you for products and services that you have
purchased.
- Public Forums:
EquityTrader hosts message boards, and chat services for
both public and private forums. Please remember that any
information that is disclosed in public forums becomes public
information. You should exercise caution when deciding to
disclose your personal information.
- Cookies:
Cookies are pieces of information that websites transfer to your
computer's hard drive for record-keeping purposes. EquityTrader
uses cookies to make visiting our sites easier. Cookies allow us
to save username and passwords for you so that you won't have to
